(Altezza s.l.m. m 390 - Distanza: da Umbertide Km 15, da Lisciano Niccone Km 5). Anche se attorniato dalla provincia di Perugia, Sorbello è in territorio toscano. E' uno dei pochissimi castelli della zona che ha tradizioni ghibelline, come dimostrano i suoi torrioni merlati. La mole primitiva di questa costruzione		(Height: 390 m a.s.l. - Distance: 15 Km from Umbertide; 5 Km from Lisciano Niccone). Even though surrounded by the province of Perugia, Sorbello is in the Tuscan territory. It is one of the few castles of the area having Ghibelline traditions, as its embattled turret masts clearly prove.
risale al X secolo, il lato sud al XII; il mastio fu rinforzato nel 1300 quando si sottomise a Perugia. Nel 1500 furoni eretti i bastioni a terrapieno che circondano il castello. radicalmente mutamenti e prima divenne un palazzo di rappresentanza, poi una villa. La sua storia è strettamente legata alle vicende dei marchesi Bourbon del Monte S. Maria Tiberina. All'interno del castello gli appartamenti gentilizi sono ricchi di magnifici soffitti a cassettoni. Interessanti il salone d'aspetto, decorato con belle pitture del secolo XVII, e la sala del trono, dove il Reggente amministrava la giustizia.		the rule of Perugia. The bastions and the embankment, which surround the castle,were built in the XVI century. In the XVII century the castle underwent some radical changes, first becoming a Palazzo di Rappresentanza and then a Villa. Its history is strictly linked to the  one of the Marchesi Bourbon del Monte S. Maria Tiberina. Inside the castle, the gentilitial rooms  have wonderful coffered ceilings. Among the most interesting rooms, there are the spacious waiting-room (decorated with some beautiful paintings dating back to the XVII century) and the throne-room, where the ruler used to administer the law.
